You have to be living under a rock to miss the viral eruption of ‘couch to 5K walking/running programs’ available through fitness magazines, online, apps and through local fitness service providers. These programs are serving a valuable need - they help people become more active, and in some cases, they are the spearhead to a more active lifestyle in general. In a culture where the vast majority of us don’t move enough to sustain even general health, let alone fitness, these programs are priceless!
